Recently Blizzard has changed its terms of service. The changes affect add-ons and paid add-ons. Basically, it forbids any add-ons that you will need to pay for and interfere with the game or other players in a negative way.

When searching for a wow leveling guide I had to ask myself the simple question of, What does a wow leveling guide bring me that the wonderful questhelper addon does not? Of course the only true way for me to answer that question was to purchase a guide. I purchased Zygor Leveling Guide and installed both the guide and questhelper.

It seems some people might be having problems installing or finding the instructions on how to install Zygor Guides in-game leveling guide for World of Warcraft I am going to put the instructions here for those who need them.

There are 7 steps to install Zygor Guides in-game leveling guide and we will go over them all. The first 2 steps can be done 2 different ways, so use whichever is easiest for you. I will go over these first, then go over the remaining steps (3-7).

First Way: steps 1 – 2

Step 1:

After downloading the guide, go to the directory where the file was saved. Unzip/extract the file. This can be done in 2 ways.

a) double left click the file and it will open up showing it’s contents that you can then copy. If this doesn’t work, try

b) right click the file, then click “extract all”. Extracting to the default location should be fine. Then click “extract”.

Once the file is unzipped/extracted you will see 3 folders.

- ZygorGuidesViewer

- ZygorGuidesAlliance or ZygorGuidesHorde (depending on which faction you downloaded)

- Cartographer

Step 2:

Find the location of your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. The default location is:

C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddOns

Copy the 3 folders (the ones we unzipped/extracted) into your World of Warcraft AddOns folder.

Second Way: steps 1 – 2

Step 1:

After downloading the guide, go to the directory where you saved the file. Copy/Cut the file.

Step 2:

Find the location of your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. The default location is:

C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddOns

Past the file into your World of Warcraft AddOns folder and then extract it.

To extract the file:

After copying/cutting and pasting, right click the file, then click extract all. The default location should be fine, but check just to make sure the location is pointed to your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. Then click extract.

Make sure these 3 folders are now in your AddOns folder.

- ZygorGuidesViewer

- ZygorGuidesAlliance or ZygorGuidesHorde (depending on which version you downloaded)

- Cartographer

Steps 3 – 7

Step 3:

Log into World of Warcraft and stop at your Character Selection Screen.

Step 4:

Click the red Addons button at the bottom left of your screen. Make sure the following are checked with gold check marks in the list that pops up on your screen:

- Zygor’s Guides Viewer

- Zygor’s Guides – Alliance and/or Zygor’s Guides – Horde ( depending on which guide you downloaded)

- Cartographer

Step 5:

Make sure the Load Out of Date AddOns button is checked in the top right corner above your addons list.

Step 6:

Click the Okay button.

Step 7:

Click the Enter World button.

Congratulations. Your guide is now set up and ready to go.

Now the Guide in itself will take your leveling, to unrecognised heights, but there are quite a few things that you can do to help the process along. By adding and following these few tips you will shave even more off your leveling time.

1. Never waste your time traveling to the bank or auction house. Make yourself, what is called a bank character, don’t level him up get him out of his starter area and to a city and just locate him between the bank and the Auction house. Supply him with goods that you do not require and he can sell via AH and make sure he has gold so that you can then makes purchases from the Auction house for your main. Then simply mail these items to your main character. This will save you an immense amount of time.

2. Never pass a mailbox without emptying your bags. Send everything that you do not need to carry to your bank character. This frees up your bags and also saves you having to return to a city or town to empty your bags.

3. Get the biggest set of bags you can as soon as possible. 16 slotters should be top of your list of things to get, while your following Zygors Guide your gonna be getting a lot of loot.

4. Kill everything on your travels to maximise the XP you will get during your quest chains.

5 Make sure that everytime you visit a city that you have no skills that require leveling up. If any can be levelled then do it whilst there to save on wasted time traveling.

6. Make sure you start saving for a mount from day one and aquire them at the appropriate times. However if for instance your a sharman don’t worry about getting your first mount, 2/2 Ghostwolf form is not that much slower (5% to be exact)

7. Always log out in a tavern. You aquire what is called rested XP. If it is viable and does not involve you traveling to far you can log out in a cities tavern, here you receive 4x rested XP bonus. Just a note here sometimes it is not viable to log out in a tavern. This happens when the time it takes to travel to and from the tavern out weighs the rested XP aquired. But as a rule, you normally log out in a tavern.

8. Now this is one which I personally don’t do, but if you have enough gold already or your one and only goal is getting up through the levels. Don’t take a gathering skill, some don’t even loot. I myself don’t do this but the amount of time you can save by not looting or gathering is huge. However the downside is you can miss lots of goodies, so it’s a choice you have to make. This is viable to do when at the lower levels but to be honest you can miss some really awsome drops once you start to get higher up the tree.

9. Another thing is don’t group. Keep your leveling a solo affair. I have only grouped up with people while using Zygor Guides 1 to 80 Alliance and Horde Leveling Guide, if I am looking to help them. I never group to try and maximise my XP.

10. Upgrade your characters equipment at least every 8 levels. Some people do it earlier but it can be a waste of both gold and time.

So many people playing World of Warcraft, just can’t find a way to level any faster than what they have already achieved. A few days ago I decided to create a new Blood Elf character. Dreading the long grind to the higher levels, I decided to buy the Zygor Leveling Guide for the Horde & see if it would really help level my character faster. Here are my impressions from the first couple of days of using Zygor.

You want to speed up your night elf leveling? Are you experiencing low experience points or do you have trouble to find a good area for your night elf to level? In glad to inform you that leveling your night elf will be a lot more fun and easier if you follow these tips.

1). Track Performance

If you are grinding in an area you must be tracking your performance. Without tracking, you can not compare area. Some area might be dull to level, but give a lot experience. Others are more fun, but you are wasting your time grinding there. If you don’t not track your performance you will not know where to level a night elf fast.

 2). Do Quest

Especially at lower levels, quest are quite rewarding. You should get as much quest as you can in one area. After that, fulfill all requirements and then return. This way you will save lots of time. A quest helper ad don is a great utility to help you with this. Some quests are easily overlooked.  

3). Switch Area’s

If an area does not give enough experience after two hours, switch immediately. This is also the reason why you should get a bigger bag and a flying mount. This way, you will have to return less often and you will spend less time traveling. On top of that, you can go to area’s which are not accessible without a flying mount. Also avoid area that are heavily crowded. Generally, these area’s are way better to level you night elf.

A shaman can be a very fun class to play. Shamans are not as good as rogues when It comes to PvP, but they can be strengthened as well. What is the enhancement build?

Well, leveling all depends on which area’s you grind and how efficient you do your quests.  It is all about getting as much experience as you can as fast as possible. One way that helps is increasing your bag size. You are an ‘Enhancement shaman’, so you will melee often. Melee classes often need to refill more often than other classes. The best way to counter this is to get a very large bag. This should be fairly easy, since you save a lot of money on mana.

If you are above level 40, you can take on some mobs easily. However, this all depends on your gear and stats. It is very difficult to select a good location to train, even for professionals. This is because some locations don’t give enough experience, some area’s are too tough or overcrowded.

A good way to find out which area’s are suitable is Zygor’s WoW In-game Guide. It tracks performance and suggest the best location and quests to gain experience. It all does it based on you class, area and even gear.

There is no doubt that a feral build druid is the best druid in World Of Warcraft. By using the feral skill, you save a lot of mana. Well, there is only one choice left to make: “Do you want to have a strength build or an agility build?” Of course, you should also find good grind spots.

He has added a lot of strength in the lower levels. When he became higher, he could easily switch up gear and go for agility. He leveled so fast, that he was kicked by his guild for ‘Hacking and botting.’ I asked him if that was true. He said that he wasn’t hacking. But how did he level so fast? He said to me: ‘It’s all about how you choose the best grinding area for your current feral druid build.’

Druids are a fun class to play with. They rule in PvP. Rogues are often called the best class for PvP, but druids are also a force to be reckoned. There is a downside by choosing druid as your class. 1). Don’t die

When you try to fight mobs as a druid, you will fail ‘epicly’. The reason that you will die is that you will attract attention of too many monsters. When you get surrounded by a lot of monster there will be almost no way out. Even if you get out, it will cost you a lot of health and mana. This immediately bring us to the second point.

2). Invest Your Gold Wisely

At low levels, you will not need many gold. You don’t want to buy good gear. If you save for a bigger bag first, it will be very profitable. Bigger bags allow faster leveling and more gold. Having a bigger bags allows your druid to pickup more loot before you have to return. You will be saving time and money. You should get your flying mount as soon as possible. It gives you access to area’s that are great for leveling. It also cuts the traveling time. The importance of cutting down traveling time is well known. Combine that with taking all quest in a specific area and complete them at the same time.

3). Good Training Locations The one most important tip : ‘Choose your grind location wisely!’ To large mobs or to strong monsters and you will die easily. Too few or to weak monster will not give you enough experience to level fast.

World of Warcraft is a fantastic game, but doesn’t it get a bit tiring having to do boring quests just to level up your character? Questing is by and far the fastest way to power level a character. This might seam like common sense, however there are some people that refuse to do it. The reason questing is so beneficial to leveling is because of the massive boosts in exp you get in one shot. In addition to the one shot experience you get for completing a quest; many of the quests require you to kill things…which also give exp. These are the best quests to shoot for as they can be done in groups and NPC’s are easily killed when 1-3 people are killing them.

There is of course a flip side to this. On quests where you have to gather items NPCs drop it is NOT wise to work in a group on these as you’ll have to loot double the corpses to get the same amount of items as the drop rate does not increase but stays the same.

For questing it is important to remember this: Killing quests good with groups. Gathering quests best if soloed.

One could take the approach of running around wildly completing quests in a random pattern with no real goal. One could also take a hammer to their skull. I don’t recommend either.

The greatst part of power leveling through questing is that you can often complete several quests at once or in a close proximity to one another, further cutting down the amount of time you need to level your character. Rather than completing one quest, then running back to complete another, why not complete three quests in the same general area and then turn all three in, effectively eliminating 2 extra trips.

Finding these paths is not that hard if you simply read the quests and generally you can find many of the quests in the same location. There is of course a much simpler way of organizing your quests and streamlining your questing route. Rested experience is a small bonus you get for NOT PLAYING. When you’re in a capital city or in an inn and you see “zzz” below your character icon this means that you’re recieving Rested Experiences, which is 1.5 times experience. ALWAYS make sure you log out in an inn or a capital city as you can accumulate rested experience when you’re not playing. You can identify your rested experience by looking at the experience bar right below your aciton bar. If it is blue you are getting 1.5 times your normal experience for killing things, if it is purple you’re on normal experience.

With the release of WOTLK looming, leveling your new character to 70, or at least to death knight status is a must, and with these few hints and tips is capable of being accomplished by anyone.
