The Zygor Guides are a new breed of in-game, Horde and Alliance leveling guide for the World of Warcraft and is produced by the long time player of World of Warcraft, John Cook.

Leveling guides, that help you level faster, have always been popular with World of Warcraft players who are often time constrained in the real world and who want to get their favorite character from 1-80 in double quick time.

Most players will agree that the fastest way to level a character in World of Warcraft is to complete as many quests in a given zone as quickly and efficiently as possible. Traditional guides in this area have relied on detailed, step by step manuals explaining how to complete a given set of quests in a fixed sequence to achieve this. This can result in tedious game-play, with constant reference to the manual, and it’s easy to get lost in the detail.

Zygor’s Guides do away with tedious manuals and come complete in the form of an in-game addon. Addons or mods as they are sometimes called are small programs that add extra features to the game interface and are fully supported as legitimate extensions to the game by Blizzard.

With Zygor’s guide installed, there is no more Alt+Tabbing to leave the game to read a manual. Instead, Zygor brings up a Quest Tracker panel that gives you the detail of each quest that you need to complete in a given zone.

A nice feature of the Zygor addon is that it comes complete with its own map coordinate and button system. Quest items and NPCs are located both on the minimap and main map using a small button marker and set of coordinates making it a snip to locate quest givers and quest targets. No more searching on thottbot for the obscure location of a quest item – Zygor Guide points the way – literally – and leads your there. This feature is a huge factor in reducing your leveling time.

Unlike other traditional guides, the Zygor Guide in-game system has been written for both Horde and Alliance factions (sold as separate mods) and caters for all character classes – not just the horde hunters class.

The latest release of Zygor Guide is fully compatible with the latest patch 3.03 and levels player right the way from 1-80.
