But Does It Work?

If you’re like me you’re probably thinking this all sounds really cool, but are wondering if my Zygor Horde Guide actually helped me to level faster? Well, when I was ready to test the guide for the first time, my brother offered to escort me with one of his characters that was several levels higher than mine. I told him what I was doing & that I would do this session on my own, following the advice in Zygor. We both started playing, and he checked in on me a few hours later. The arrow tells you where to go and how far you have go to get there. I never have to research for race or class builds. I can spend my time focused on playing: not searching the internet for answers.

I have kids and a wife that loves to press buttons like a monkey. What does this mean in the long run? Lot’s of computer downtime. I am constantly loading and reloading WOW. Luckily, Zygor Guide allows unlimited downloads! Once you have purchased it, it is yours. If your machine crashes, no worries. If you have to move your license to a different machine, not a problem. Once again, I’d rather be playing then calling tech support in the middle of my work day to argue with an apathetic operator.

Luckily, Zygor Guide allows you to make copies on multiple machines. Of course the instant updates don’t function on the copies. But hey, when there is an update – just copy it over again. Rested Experience

One of the fastest ways to level your character is with rested experience. Rested experience gives you double the normal XP per mob you kill. It doesn’t take a genius to understand how this makes the leveling process faster.

Some of you may think that the best way to use this experience bonus is to grind on some monsters around your level, but this is actually a bad way to use it. When you grind, you are only getting the XP from the kills. Grinding is great if you really had a need for gold, it is one of the slowest ways to level.

Rested experience is best paired up with questing, as you get the bonus experience per kill along with quest XP. While questing, you will naturally be killing mobs, so there is little need to stay in one spot to kill things (unless a quest has you do so.)

Burning your rested XP while questing will also stretch out the amount of time that it lasts. It is not uncommon for a full bonus of 150% to last from 70-74 before running out. If you play less often, then it could easily last you until you hit 80.

If you are considering leveling a second character, you can guarantee that he is always played with rested experience. Create the character as you normally would, log him out at an inn and start gaining this easy bonus. It takes roughly a week to maximise the bonus (a full level and a half), but you will need to log on the character after a week to achieve this as a game mechanic will slow down the gain after the 100% area.

A lot of people say there’s no difference, just pick Alliance or Horde, and play the game and have fun doing so. But there are differences in the two that have a huge impact on how you play the game, and even how long it will take you to build honor!

Alliance characters get the benefit that Blizzard likes them, and the game is slightly designed for their advantage. I’ve heard people say that Alliance characters level faster than Horde, I don’t think this is necessarily true. Although I have noticed that it is easier to get around to the leveling areas a little faster as an Alliance player.

Also there are several times when Alliance and Horde are put into a contested area, and Alliance seem to be a little farther ahead in the game, and therefore have a slight advantage over the Horde. For example if you’re a Horde running around T-Mill you’re gonna be any where from a low level 20 to maybe a mid to high level 30 character, usually. There are exceptions, but for the majority of Horde players they fall into this category while they’re there.

Now Alliance on the other hand tends to be in the high 30 to high 40 range while going through the area. A definite advantage for the Alliance, and a fun chance to get to kill some Horde. But I wouldn’t say that Alliance is the best choice because of this. There’s still one very important thing about playing Horde characters that you must know.

Horde own the Battle Grounds. If you’re looking to play for pvp and want the honor faster, Horde may be a better choice for you. Or if you prefer you can play the Alliance and know that when you’ve achieved certain pvp status that you have done so with much hard work, and not just had it handed to you.

I would consider both of these before choosing a new character to play. They both have an impact on how you will play and enjoy the game. I enjoy characters on both factions, but currently enjoy having a main on Alliance. The choice is ultimately yours, but hopefully I helped you make the right choice, or persuaded you to try out both if you have the time.
