World of Warcraft Guide to Leveling a Beastmastery Hunter

zygor guidesHunters are simply the easiest class to level in World of Warcraft. Starting at level 10 you get a pet that will help you kill, keep you free from harm, and die for you so you can escape. You can easily be lazy and simply auto shoot and let your pet do the work while you watch your favorite show. There is only one option for the leveling hunter when it comes to talent tree, and that is Beast Mastery.

This tree will make your pet a true powerhouse, as it is the spec geared towards pet buffs. There is plenty for the hunter as well as many talents improve your shooting speed. The staple talents for Beast Mastery are:

Improved Aspect of the Hawk – Increased attack speed
Focused Fire – Increased damage while pet is alive
Ferocity – Pet critical rate increase
Intimidation – Stun
Bestial Discipline – Increased focus regeneration for your pet
Bestial Wrath/The Beast Within – Damage increase, fear/stun remover
Serpent’s Swiftness – Attack speed increase for you and your pet

From there you have a few options. Improved mend pet is handy if you find yourself leveling in areas where your pet will be poisoned or cursed. Spirit Bond gives you and your pet a constant health regeneration effect. Frenzy so your pet attacks much faster after crits.

You should eventually look into getting a few talents from the Marksmanship tree as well. You definitely want Go for the Throat, which gives your pet extra focus every time you crit. That essentially will keep aggro on your pet, even when you find yourself laying down a lot of burst damage.

Leveling a Hunter is a rewarding process. It may be easy, but hunters make excellent farming characters for people who end up playing a tank or a healer and want the increased kill rate without needing multiple sets of gear or constant spec changes.

Buy Zygor Guide today to level your beast mastery hunter even faster.

World of Warcraft – Guide to Leveling an Arcane Mage

zygor guidesLeveling an arcane mage is a simple process. Most of the talents you want are in the Arcane tree and any branching out will happen at later levels to flesh out the spec. Some players will choose to go with a spec that is a little more survivable, while others will simply level in a raiding spec to get used to the rotations. The best part about playing an arcane mage is you have plenty of options.

Staple talents for the Arcane Mage are:

Arcane Stability 5/5 – Arcane Missiles can not be interrupted
Arcane Concentration 5/5 – Clearcasting for free spells
Presence of Mind 1/1 – Next spell is instant cast
Arcane Potency 2/2 – Increased Crit rate while clearcasting
Arcane Instability 3/3 – Spell Damage and Crit rate increase
Arcane Flows 2/2 – Lowers the cooldown on some major spells
Missile Barrage 5/5 – Speeds up your Arcane Missile Casting

These are baseline talents that every arcane mage will typically have. With these to work around you can decide on many other options.

Some players like to go into the Fire tree for Pyroblast. With this you will lead with the Pyroblast, as it has a long casting time (and does major damage). After Pyroblast, you can cast a Frostbolt to slow your target, or simply start casting arcane missiles. If things get rough you can activate Presence of Mind and cast an instant cast Pyroblast on your target to bring it down quickly.

The one talent in the fire tree that most arcane mages will want to have is Incineration, for the Arcane Blast damage increase. Do not get this talent early, as you will not get that spell until you are higher level.

Frost talents you should consider are Precision (hit rate increase) and Icy Veins (spell haste buff).

There are many options open if you decide to level a mage
