For instance if you needed to kill 10 boars Zygor guide tells you where to go to find them, however questhelper actually places text in a helper window when you scroll over a boar that tells you what quest you will complete by killing the boar and how many more you need to kill to complete the quest.

So as a diehard fan of questhelper and now a new lover of Zygor leveling guide I can wholeheartedly say that instead of using one or the other, using both is probably the best way to go as they both bring a new level of help to your questing experience.
